Co-Ed Surf Camps

Erik Nelsen Surf Camps

We educate and instruct children to enjoy the beach and ocean responsibly.

PROFESSIONAL • FRIENDLY • EXPERIENCED

Welcome to Orange County’s #1 all-day Surf Camp! Join Erik Nelsen and his 40 years of youth camp experience for a full week of fun, safe, and exciting surf instruction.

Boys and girls will receive daily surf lessons while learning essential ocean skills, including ocean awareness, tide cycles, wave types, and eco-friendly beach practices. Campers will also enjoy classic beach activities such as relay races, beach flags, and other junior lifeguard–style games.

Ocean safety is a top priority and is taught and practiced daily by our professional staff, all of whom are CPR and First Aid certified. Surf lessons take place at an ideal beginner location with gentle waves, a sandy ocean floor, and a safe learning environment. To cap off the week, a professional surfer will visit on Friday afternoon to share expert tips and inspiration.

All instructors are CPR & First Aid Certified. Sunscreen reapplication breaks are scheduled multiple times throughout the day. Our surf camp has a 4:1 student to instructor ratio.

A professional surfer will be on hand to share their surfing knowledge on Friday afternoon.
